A navigation limit is the area your policy covers. Cruising outside it may reduce or void coverage, so confirm your plans with your agent before a trip.
Ranges you may see described
- Inland and Intracoastal waters
- Coastal waters, often within a set distance of shore
- Extended ranges that include places like the Bahamas
- Offshore or trans-ocean passages, usually by special arrangement
